Content-types consist of one or more fields. Each field is intended to contain a certain type of data, filled on the Editor page.

Fields can be added when creating a new Content-type, and when editing it later. At the moment, the MVP supports 14 types of fields. All types of fields and their features are listed in Field types .

How to add a field

Adding a field occurs in 2 cases:

  1. After clicking Next during the creation of a content type (see Scheme creating ).

  2. When clicking add field during the editing of the content-type.

Adding a new field

In any of the above actions, a modal window opens where you need to choose one of the 14 types of fields. For more details about all variants of fields, see Field types .

Clicking on any type of field opens the field settings screen, which consists of the following parts:

  1. Name Until this field is filled, the add button does not activate
  2. Special field settings Some fields have settings that other fields do not have. For example, for text, you can choose short text or long text. The first available option is selected by default.
  3. Common Settings All fields have these. By default, checkboxes are not selected. Name in BD is generated from the name.
  4. Control buttons Adds a field to the content-type or cancels the process

Editing a field

All added fields, except for pre-set ones (with a lock symbol), can be edited by clicking on them in the builder. This opens the field editing mode. Clicking Save will save the changes.

  1. Pre-set fields These fields cannot be deleted or edited. Only collections have them. By default, all collections have Name fields. If templates were used, the list of pre-set fields may differ. See Templates.
  2. Regular fields Fields that were manually added by users. They can be deleted and edited.
