Visibility allows you to customize which fields to show in the collection and which to hide. You can also arrange their placement relative to each other.
You can display up to 8 fields in the collection. This is done to avoid cluttering the workspace and to avoid horizontal scrolling (see Collection).
Let's look at what the modal looks like with different numbers of fields:
Fields can have three states:
The active and hidden states are toggled by clicking across the entire width of the row. Changes are applied immediately.
Visibility sidebar support drag-and-drop. Let's try to move the Price field to the second place.
Hover over the grip icon
Click and drag the field upwards.
Done. The field has moved in the collection. Also, we see that the 'Save changes' button has appeared because we have changed the view settings (see Saving views).
Let's try to find the necessary fields through the visibility search bar
Click on the 'Search by field name' field
We see that the search field is active. Type the word Sale
The search is performed as you type symbols. We got 2 fields. Note: Search results can only be hidden/displayed. They cannot be moved around each other.
To disable the search, you need to click on the 'x' button and the modal will return to its default state. You can also press 'Esc' and the search will reset. The modal will return to its default state.
If all 8 fields are already displayed and you open a search, all hidden fields in the search result will be disabled. This means that the results can only be disabled. But you can disable another and enable that you want.
If you close the sidebar during a search, the search will reset and close, i.e., when the sidebar is reopened, it will be in its default state.
